"It is true that whenever a person loves a dog he derives great power for it."
~Old Seneca Tribal Chief~
My loyal and loving companion Mr. Marley is many days my greatest gift on this Journey. There are times I get lonely, times I wonder if there really is a second half for me out there somewhere in the Universe seeking the same in their heart of hearts as I seek in mine.
"Who loves me will love my dog also."
~St. Bernard of Clairvaux~
It is in those moments that Mr. Marley reminds me that I am whole, complete and have no reasons to feel lonely as I am loved so unconditionally and completely by him. Sometimes I wonder if he can read my mind because he seems to know exactly when I need him to snuggle up next to me the most, he knows when I need to laugh the most and he knows when I need to be left alone, haha.
Always watching my every move, he is like my shadow. On the days I lose my patience with him he still does not miss a beat and continues to just love me, oh how it would be to love like a dog does. I don't lose patience with him often these days as he has finally gotten over his biting phase, he no longer chews up my belongings with the occasional attempt to get a moment alone with my house slippers which seem to be his last stand, haha.
The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."
"If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face,
you should go home and examine your conscience."
Follow your dreams! I believe in chew, I mean you!
This morning I want to give a special thanks to my Creator for sending me Mr. Marley to travel this Journey with me. He truly is my best friend, my loyal and loving companion who has taught me much in many areas of my growth, specifically in patience and unconditional love.
I love you all from a place of contentment for the here and now and wish you a most blessed Monday full of laughter. Remember if things feel pressured, overwhelming or mundane to find your one thing to give thanks for and laugh past the Monday blues.
